Quantum fix proposed for Bitcoin, yet millions of coins remain vulnerable

StarkWare executed the first quantum-resistant transaction on the Bitcoin mainnet using a hash-based security design by Avihu Levy. However, millions of coins with exposed public keys remain vulnerable to future quantum threats.
